Our team visited the Sheroes hangout and caf\u00e9 on February 3 with our Vice President, Nick Brown.\u00a0 Sheroes is set up by the Chhanv Foundation and is staffed by women who have been victims of acid attacks.\u00a0 The organization aims to increase awareness of acid attacks and seeks to empower acid attack survivors.\u00a0 Victims report that they have dealt with feelings of shame, ostracization, and trauma.<\/p>\n

The Sheroes hangout and caf\u00e9 provides a place of acceptance, support, and community\u2014as well as a means of livelihood.\u00a0 Some of the women are now the primary earners in their families.<\/p>\n
